After 45 years Sister Maura McMenamin returned to the school where she had been headmistress.
As the last SND head teacher, she was invited to take part in the rededication and naming of the Notre Dame oratory. The service was conducted by the local bishop Bishop Toal.
The oratory is actually the former convent chapel.
The school is now flourishing and growing. It has a nursery junior and senior departments and is now admitting boys.
One of Sister Maura's former pupils is now a parent governor and her daughter is on the pupil councill
The head teacher is anxious for the school to be part of the virtual school etc.
A most interesting day and a day to be remembered
